Ian Thomas totaled 142 all-purpose yards, returned a punt 64 yards and caught a 60-yard pass from Joey Dorsey, Dorsey ran for a 2-yard score and passed for 142 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown toss to Navassa Brown, and Mark Venable totaled 118 all-purpose yards along with throwing a 40-yard scoring pass to Brown during Friday night’s 47-12 Franklin victory over Dulaney in Baltimore County 4A-3A League action.
Anthony Taylor ran for a 57-yard touchdown, made eight tackles and had a sack, Venable made nine tackles and caused a fumble, and Cyril Nuworsoo had five tackles, a sack and recovered a fumble for the Indians, who rose to 6-0 under eighth-year coach Anthony Burgos, the program’s best start since 1994.
Kavell Jenkins had a 57-yard scoring reception from Sterling Hardy for the Indians, whose kicker, Jake Gibson, was good on five of seven extra point attempts.
On the year, Thomas has 21 receptions for 598 yards and has scored 12 total touchdowns, Dorsey has thrown for 1,113 yards and 13 scores, and Venable has 10 total touchdowns, 435 offensive yards, 862 all-purpose yards, and, defensively, 54 tackles.
