Murphy and Sims combine for 47 to lead the Indians

The Franklin boys’ basketball team picked up its first victory of the season, Wednesday, holding off a late Dundalk rally to escape with a 79-77 Baltimore County road victory.

Roger Truitt, who scored 14 points, hit a free throw with 3.8 seconds to play to extend the Franklin lead and the Indians held on.

Ben Murphy scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Indians (1-1) and AJ Sims netted 21.

Dundalk (2-1) had five players in double figures led by 16 points from Tyree Green. Michael Johnson and Rayonte Brown scored 14 points each, while Jaylon Johnson and George Smith each had 13.
