Fourth-ranked Indians are routed, 36-0

On the road at the Prince Georges Sports & Learning Complex to face the No. 2 team in the Maryland State Media poll, not to mention a squad ranked No. 9 nationally by USA Today, No. 4 Franklin suffered a 36-0 loss to DeMatha.

The Indians competed throughout, but the Stags slowly wore them down, as DeMatha scored a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter and one in each quarter thereafter.

Sieh Bangura only rushed six times for 60 yards, but he scored a pair of TD’s for DeMatha and quarterback Tyler Lenhart passed for two scores to lead the Stags. Lenhart, however, was forced from the game with an injury.

Franklin fell to 1-1 with the loss.
