Freshman forward Weezie Foster had a big day for the Friends field hockey squad, Tuesday at Meadwood Regional Park, as she scored both goals in a 2-1 IAAM B Conference win over the Insistute of Notre Dame.
Foster scored an unassisted goal 3:00 into the game and the lead held up all the way to the final 3:30 of the contest. At that point, IND tied the contest with a goal by Sarah Cvach, who was assisted by Taylor Jones.
The contest went into overtime, where Foster struck again, just two minutes in the extra session.
It was a tough luck loss for IND, while held a 6-4 edge in corners while the shots were even at 10 apiece.
