Junior Mike Sweet notched his second goal of the season to give Friends boys soccer its second win of the week, pushing the Quakers past a determined Park team, 1-0, on Thursday.
Enjoying the lion’s share of possession, the Quakers had a hard time unlocking the packed Bruin defense until 20 minutes from the end of the encounter. Sophomore Ethan Tobin struck a superlative driven corner to the Bruin far post where Sweet crashed the box to power home a header.
