Loyola Blakefield High junior wide receiver/safety Jordan Floyd (pictured left) has received a football scholarship offer from the University of Connecticut, Floyd’s father, Linwood, told Varsity Sports Network Sunday.
It’s the second offer for the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder, who received an offer from Maryland during last football season. Maryland’s offer came a week after Floyd caught eight balls for 112 yards against DeMatha Catholic at the inaugural I-95 Kickoff Classic at Unitas Stadium.
Linwood Floyd said his son took unofficial visits to UCONN and Boston College last week. Rutgers, Virginia and West Virginia have impressed interest. Jordan Floyd had 700 receiving and 11 touchdowns on offense last fall with 70 tackles on defense.
He’s performing with the Dons’ track team this spring, competing in the 100- and 200-meters and long jump.
