Fallston won its third consecutive one-run game, since the post-season got underway, topping Harford County rival North Harford, 3-2, in the 2A East Region Section I final, Tuesday afternoon at Ripken Stadium.
The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third on a two out single off the bat of Dillon Sperl. Starter Josh Bogdan cruised through five scoreless, but North Harford was able to scratch across two in the 6th inning on a single to left and a safety squeeze to take a 2-1 lead.
Connor Pickle led-off the bottom of the seventh with a single to right and Drew Kalista followed up with one to left to put runners on first and second. Next, Bogdan drew a walk to load the bases with no outs. Kyle Moody followed with a ground ball to third that was thrown away at home, allowing Pickle and Kalista to score and sending Fallston to the Regional Championship game.
