The summer 7-on-7 football campaign is underway as arguably the premier event on the circuit, the Ravens Passing Jamboree, started Sunday at St. Paul’s School in Brooklandville.

No locals claimed a championship bracket as Prince George’s County’s Oxon Hill def. St. Paul’s (5-2) in the Purple bracket title game while Urbana from Frederick County bested Mervo (5-1) in the Black finale. Mervo advanced to the final with a semifinal round decision over Frederick County’s Linganore, and St. Paul’s defeated Theodore Roosevelt from the District in the Purple semifinals.

After dropping its first match, Owings Mills ran the table to take first in the Black consolation bracket. Howard claimed the Purple consolation bracket.

The Ravens 7-on-7 Passing Jamboree concludes Sunday at Tuscorora in Frederick.
