Kajubi and Ewing combine for 33 for the Elks

In a closely contested UCBAC Chesapeake Division boys basketball battle, visiting Elkton turned away host Patterson Mill, 56-52, Tuesday evening in Bel Air.

The Elks (2-0 overall, 1-0 UCBAC Ches) led by five at the half before settling for the four-point win.

Mwebe Kajubi scored 17 points to lead Elkton in the scoring column. He was followed closely by Trevin Ewing, who netted 16. In addition, AJ Moncrieffe added 12 points for the Elks.

Patterson Mill’s Shawn Luddy led all scorers with 24 points. The Huskies (1-1 overall) were also playing their league opener.
