Extra Innings Baltimore-North, located in Fullerton, will be holding an Evaluation/Tryout for elite pitchers, catchers and position players on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at its indoor facility at 7904 Rossville Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21236.
This evaluation/tryout is for elite high school players who want to play in college and/ or professional baseball in the future. All position players will be evaluated on speed, arm strength, fielding and hitting.
Pitchers will throw off the mound and will be timed on the speed gun. Catchers will be graded on receiving as well as pop times to second base.
Area college coaches will be in attendance and will assist with the instruction, including but not limited to the University of Maryland, UMBC, Washington College, St. Mary’s College, Gettysburg College and Dundalk Community College. Several local premier teams such as the Oriolanders, Yankee Rebels, Delmarva Hurricanes, Mid Atlantic Red Sox, Baltimore Baseball Coalition and Baltimore Metro Baseball teams will be evaluating players for possible invitations to play on their summer and fall teams.

The evaluation will be run by Sam Snider, a coach with 30 years of professional experience with the Baltimore Orioles and York Revolution, and the current manager of Extra Innings.
He will be assisted by Extra Innings Head Strength and Conditioning Instructor Ade Parkes, Tim Norris, a Baltimore Orioles’ scout and the manager of the Oriolanders, and Dan Gitzen, a New York Yankees’ scout and the coach of the Delmarva Hurricanes.
