Eight MIAA players have been selected to participate in the 3rd annual Maryland Crab Bowl all-star football contest. They are among 44 performers announced Wednesday afternoon.

Gilman School’s Darius Jennings and Hunter Goodwin were picked along with Ben Curtis and Adrian Amos of Calvert Hall College. KK Smith, who helped Archbishop Spalding to the MIAA B football championship last fall, earned a spot, in addition to Loyola Blakefield’s Luke Ilardo, Devonte Jones from Mount St. Joseph and Boys’ Latin’s Marco Jones. Jones is verbally committed to the University of Virginia.

The initial 44 performers were selected by the Maryland Football Coaches Association. The remainder of the roster will be selected next month. The game will take place Dec. 18 at Bowie State University.
