Edmondson got 17 points from Darius Walker and senior point guard Rodney Pratcher finished with 16 as the No. 8 Red Storm throttled Carver Vo-Tech, 70-35, at the Spark at the Park Mixer at Forest Park Monday.

Leading 16-12 after the opening period, the defending Baltimore City league champs Red Storm (1-0 overall) outscored Carver, 21-10, in the second quarter to take a 37-22 halftime advantage. Walker and Kavon Pyatt combined for 16 points in the period.

Devin Colston led all scorers with 19 points for Carver (0-1), but only four in the second half. Colston drained five three-pointers in the first half.

Raynair Pratcher contributed 10 points for Edmondson, which plays at Perry Hall Wednesday evening.
