Nemec gets the win with three innings of scoreless relief

Senior Ryan Edmonds hit a leadoff home run in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a 2-2 tie, and No. 10 Archbishop Curley held on for a 3-2 road victory at Fallston, Monday, in a non-league baseball game.

It was a big day for Edmonds who drove in Curley’s first run with a first inning double and he scored the second run on a Zach Gaeta single later in the inning.

Fallston got on the board in the bottom of the second when Jake Baugess Kimes drew a bases load walk. Jason Foxx then tied the game for the Cougars, in the fourth, when his single to center scored courtesy runner Ryder Nails. Foxx had two hits on the afternoon.

Augie Nemec pitched the final three innings for Curley, allowing just two hits and no runs, while striking out one.
