After two early season losses, the Annapolis Area Christian field hockey team has won six in a row, including Monday’s 1-0 win over visiting St. Timothy’s, to improve to 8-2 in the IAAM C Conference and 9-4 overall.
St. Tim’s came (7-3, 6-3) in with a chance to move into a first place tie with AACS with a win, but instead the Eagles opened a six point gap with two conference games to go.
After a scoreless first half, Chelsea Mcfadden assisted Elsbeth Deroo early in the second half for the game’s only score. The AACS defense held tough to hold off St. Timothy’s, while Lisa Fetter had four saves in goal. The two teams will meet again later this week because of an earlier rainout.
