Indian Creek School boys’ basketball team continued its pursuit of the top-seed in the MIAA C Conference, topping Key School, 64-50, in Annapolis Saturday.

Zion Chase scored 16 points for the Eagles (12-6 overall), and Devin Garrett finished with 12. Mike Jackson led all scorers with 18 points for Key (6-10, 3-7 MIAA C), and Jelani Reid added 16.

The two-time reigning league champs from Crownsville (9-1 MIAA C) outscored the Obezags, 33-22, in the second half to pull within a half-game of Beth Tfiloh (10-1). Indian Creek has won four straight decisions.

With Chase, Devin Garrett and Dominic Day providing the offense and steady defensive pressure from David Campbell and Travis Belt, Indian Creek went a 30-15 run to gain a 61-43 advantage with three minutes left in regulation. Donovan Moore and DaVon Beckford combined for 14 points for the Eagles.

Indian Creek plays at Park School Tuesday.
