The Dundalk Owls split their Monday night tri-meet with Baltimore County foes Sparrows Point and Woodlawn, dropping to Sparrows Point, 53-24, but beating Woodlawn, 42-39.
With Sparrows Point taking for forfeits, it was hard for the Owls to catch the three pins, tech fall and injury default that the Pointers added to their lead, the five Dundalk wins were just not enough.
Sparrow’s Point was led by pinners Drew Clark (285), Krug (189) and Mike Iman (171), with tech fall artist Borkowicz at 145, and injury default recipient Teddy Cadd (140).
Dundalk saw wins by Alfred Martinez (125), Brandon Hirsch (130) and pins from Blake Mason (103), Zhivago Jones (135) and Wayne Maddox (215).
Many of the Owls went on to win in the Woodlawn match, seeing Mason, duplicate his pining performance.
The Pointers will return to face Overlea on Jan. 6, as Dundalk faces Chesapeake-BC and Woodlawn hosts Milford Mill.
