Undefeated Owls enter at No. 19; St. Frances unanimous No. 1

Dundalk High is the latest Baltimore area team in the Maryland State Media Football Top 25 poll.

The Owls, who defeated Franklin last weekend to improve to 7-0, debuts at No. 19. For the second straight week, the Baltimore region has nearly half (12) of the Top 25.

St. Frances Academy and Archbishop Spalding remain at No. 1 and 2, respectively. The nationally-ranked Panthers gained all 10 first-place votes.

Calvert Hall College (7th), Mount St. Joseph (No. 8) and 10th-ranked McDonogh School maintain their spot from last week. Broadneck continue ascending, jumping four places to No. 14.

The area has the final five spots in the Top 25 with St. Mary’s (No. 21), Franklin (22nd), Milford Mill Academy (No. 23), Dunbar (24th) and No. 25 Loyola Blakefield. Old Mill (15 points), which was No. 25 last week, and Gilman School (three) received votes.
