Dwayne Brewer scored 13 points leading No. 17 Douglass High past Havre de Grace, 49-42, at the 15th annual Basketball Academy at Coppin State University Saturday. Tied at 11 after the opening quarter, the Baltimore City school outscored the defending UCBAC champ Warriors, 12-5, in the second quarter for a 23-16 halftime lead.
Nathan Jones led Havre de Grace with 15 points. After dropping two games at the Basketball Academy, the Warriors look to rebound with a league game at Elkton Tuesday evening.
Douglass (9-3 overall) hosts No. 1 Patterson Tuesday afternoon in a Baltimore City league Division I match.
