Douglass-Baltimore continues to be one of the most prolific scoring teams in Baltimore after a 46-12 Baltimore City football victory over W.E.B DuBois, on Saturday evening at Poly.
Carlos Croslin got the Ducks going with an 86-yard first quarter run and Matthew Goode added a two-point conversion to give Douglass an 8-0 lead. DuBois countered with a 64-yard touchdown pass from Irvin Woods to James Price, but the Panthers would not score again until the fourth quarter when Price and Woods connected again, for a 57-yard TD pass. In between those tosses, Douglass ran off 38 points.
Goode followed the first DuBois touchdown with a 70-yard kickoff return and Crosslin added a 28-yard touchdown run to give the Ducks a 22-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Wayne Rouzer returned a fumble 33 yards for a score, Croslin ran 16 yards for another touchdown, and Dewey Ruth hauled in a 37-yard scoring toss from Croslin to stretch the Douglass lead to 40-6 at the half.
In the third quarter, Zack Morgan added a final Douglass touchdown, with a five yard run.
