Green leads the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds
It didn’t take long to register the first major upset of the 2017-18 boys basketball season as unranked Digital Harbor traveled to No. 6 Patterson, Tuesday, in the season opener for both squads and the Rams knocked off the Clippers in a high scoring affair, 85-81.
Overlooked senior Donald Green made a statement for Digital Harbor with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 4 assists to power the Rams. In addition, Markus Hocker came up big with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
Digital Harbor also got a major contribution, off the bench, from junior combo guard Emanuel Ludd, who scored 14 points, dished 8 assists and grabbed 6 rebounds.
Executing the game plan of coach Raymond Smith to near perfection, the Rams put pressure on Patterson early, building a 45-31 lead by intermission and they were able to stay in front throughout the second half.
