When it all comes down to it, DeMatha won the St. Vincent Pallotti duals in the first round of the weekend tournament, earning a 32-26 win over Good Counsel.
After that, DeMatha cruised through the next six rounds, earning big wins and a close victory over South Carroll, 29-24, to earn the tournament title.
Good Counsel ended the weekend second, going 6-1 against the rest of the teams, and South Carroll finished third with a 5-2 record.
Baltimore-area Pallotti and Gilman finished in fourth and sixth place, respectively, who ended 4-3 and 2-5 on the weekend.
