St. Frances Academy’s Angel Reese, arguably the nation’s top girls high school basketball player, will announce her college choice Friday evening at 9 p.m. during the school’s “Midnight Madness” festivities.

Reese, a versatile 6-foot-3 forward, will decide between the University of Maryland, Southern California and Syracuse. Last season, Reese guided top-ranked St. Frances to a fourth consecutive IAAM A Conference championship, averaging 22.6 points and 19.3 rebounds per game.

Reese, the nation’s No. 2 prospect in the Class of 2020, by ESPN, visited the three schools along with Tennessee last month. She visited South Carolina earlier in the month.

A 3-year starter heading into her final season at the East Baltimore school, Reese has helped St. Frances to a 78-9 mark with three IAAM A titles, two Bishop Walsh Invitational championships and three No. 1 rankings in the final VSN Top 20.
