Glynn Davis, a one-time baseball star at Northeast high school, has been signed to a free agent contract with the Baltimore Orioles, shortly after a strong summer campaign with the Youse Maryland Orioles.
Davis helped Youse capture its 27th All-American Amateur Baseball Association national championship, earlier this month in Johnstown, Pa. Following the conclusion of his high school career, Davis spent last season as the shortstop for Catonsville Community College where he was named the school’s Male Athlete of the Year.
Davis was also an All-American nominee and he was named to the 2010 NJCAA Division II Baseball All-Region XX first-team, as well as the All-Maryland JUCO Conference XX first-team.
In his only JUCO season, Davis batted .430 with 10 home runs and 35 steals. He posses incredible foot speed and is still just 18 years old.
