St. Paul’s varsity volleyball team pulled off a rare victory by a MIAA B Conference team over an A Conference squad, on Monday, as the Crusaders knocked off Mount St. Joseph in five sets.

Serving was the key for St. Paul’s as it won 93% of its serves in their 20-25, 25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 15-11 victory.  Rob Maddux won all 20 of his services attempts, hit .300 and had 11 kills.

Louis Foxwell had two aces, while Brock Reich, Louis Foxwell and Rob Maddux, all at 2.4, led a strong passing game.

The defense was led by Mac Hall with four solo blocks and two block assists, and Reich has 13 digs. Tanner Brooks set the ball 102 times assisting in 38 kills.
