St. Paul’s needed a half to get its offense in gear and then errupted for 28 second half points to defeat Severn, 28-0, on the road Saturday in MIAA B Conference football.

Spencer Parks broke the scoreless deadlock with a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, and that would be all the Crusader defense would need as it went on to complete the shutout.  Taylor Michel set up the TD with a 35 yard run.

In the fourth quarter, Michel raced around left end for 20 yards for the Crusaders’ second score.  Ryan Ley and Parks added the final two touchdowns as St. Paul’s improved its record to 3-1, overall and in the MIAA B Conference.

Michel rushed 24 times for 165 yards in the contest and Crusaders finished with 290-yards rushing on 50 attempts.
