Crofton High School played its first ever varsity football game Friday night, on the road at Laurel, and although the Cardinals suffered a 42-8 loss, they did make some history.

In the second quarter, Crofton scored the first touchdown in school history when quarterback Ian Lenkart completed a 31-yard scoring toss to Le’Trell Bender. Paeton Norsworth then became the first Cardinal to cross the goal line on a running play, as he rushed for the two-point conversion.
