Utterbaugh’s hit sparks Harford Tech to 3-2 victory, end Huskies’ 11-game streak

Austin Utterbaugh drove in two runs and junior Wyatt Dudek allowed five hits in six innings as Harford Tech High defeated Patterson Mill, 3-2, in an UCBAC Chesapeake baseball contest Monday in Harford County.

Utterbaugh’s 2-run triple in the sixth off Patterson Mill starter Chris Decamp gave the Cobras (6-7 overall, 4-6 Chesapeake) the lead, 2-1. Parker Smith followed with a single, scoring Utterbaugh.

Dudeck, a junior, struck out five as Harford Tech ended its Bel Air rivals’ 11-game winning streak. Nathan Vujanic had a RBI with a bases loaded walk, and Christian Shertzer drove in another run with a sacrifice fly for Patterson Mill (11-4, 7-3 Chesapeake).
