It was a quick night between Chesapeake-AA and Annapolis Area Christian School, as the two teams contested just eight of the night’s 14 matches, with seven of those matches ending early due to fall or tech fall in the 63-18 win for the Cougars.
Austin Concil (112) was the only winning wrestler to go the distance in the Monday night match-up, winning an 8-0 major decision to join his teammates in the 45-point victory.
Pinners for the Cougars included Stephen Spinnenweber (140), Kurk Seckman (145), and Tom Reid (171), with Alex Rice earning a tech fall at 135 and six other teammates receiving forfeits.
Spinnenweber, in his 5:26 fall, actually trailed Sam Fonts, 4-0, going into the third period, and worked from the top position after a quick takedown to cradle his opponent and earn the bonus points.
Annapolis Christian pulled out three wins in Dave Sandacz (130), Joel Bowers (160 and Danny Dankwerth (189), all winning by falls.
Chesapeake-AA has some time off before retunring to the District V Duals in January, while AACS will travel to Northeast before the new year on Dec. 30.
