The Pallotti boys Cross Country team had a big day on Tuesday, defeating Indian Creek, Saints Peter and Paul, and Baltimore Lutheran in a home meet at Supplee Field.
The race was close between all the teams and late in the race, Pallotti trailed Indian Creek.
Senior John Chenault finished strong, passing runners from Indian Creek and Baltimore Lutheran in the last half mile to finish first in the race with at time of 18:53.
Chenault has finished in first place in both of his last two races. Sophomore Griffin McWilliams secured a fourth place finish while senior Luke Auger and junior ChrisHalkos surged late to beat out Indian Creek runners in the last hundred yards.
Auger outpaced his Indian Creek opponent by only 1.7 seconds and Halkos finishedliterally inches (.1 seconds) in front of his opponent to give Pallotti a one point win, 27-28.
Pallotti is now 3-2 overall.
