Nate Frierson and Matt Phillips each scored 12 points as Chapelgate Christian claimed the consolation game at the Eagle Classic with a 56-31 decision Saturday afternoon at Annapolis Area Christian.
The Yellow Jackets put up 14 points each quarter, leading 28-14 at halftime and 42-20 after three periods. Chika Obi added eight points, four blocked shots and four assists for Chapelgate.
Frierson, who was named to the All-Tournament team, had four assists and five steals. Evan Austin led St. John’s with 13 points.
