Knights connect on first 12 long-range attempts in rout C. Milton Wright
The Century High boys basketball team came out on fire from beyond the three-point arc, Monday, converting the first 12 three-point shots it attempted, as the Knights hosted and routed C. Milton Wright, 75-54, in non-conference boys action.
Junior Justin Wunder paced the Knights with a game-high 22 points, but he had plenty of support. Point guard Carter Truby tossed in 16 points and senior Jared Lamb netted 12.
Century (13-3 overall), which is in second place in the Carroll County boys league with an 8-1 conference mark, ran the visiting Mustangs nearly out of the gym in the opening half, building a 42-23 lead. Wright (12-4 overall) is 7-0 in the UCBAC Chesapeake Division, which it leads.
Senior Jalen Jackson scored 18 points to lead the Mustangs, while Bryn Hopkins had 12 points and seven rebounds.
Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story stated that Century was in first place in the Carroll County boys league. Actually, Liberty is undefeated in league play and is in first place. VSN regrets this error.
