In the first match of his Maryland high school wrestling career, Centennial’s Macon Stanley recorded a 3:21 fall and helped his Eagle teammates pass Atholton on Tuesday, 43-30.

Stanley (130) was one of the three Centennial wrestlers to pin on Tuesday night, joining Daniel Ludlow (103) and Nathan Kraisser (125) in their six-point team wins, while Joe Wysocki, Pasha Shahegh and Matt Nickell each got six team-points with forfeits at 152, 215 and 112, respectively.

Atholton was able to overcome a 0-10 start the match with back-to-back falls by Mark Muhlbock (171) and Matt Fields (189), and recorded to more falls in Jay Johnson (119) and Brett Kaufman (140) before succumbing to the loss.

The only two matches to go the distance included Centennial’s Hutson Baumann and Zach Portnoff, with Portnoff working a major at 160 and Bumann earning a decision at 135.
