Friday night was Homecoming at Catonsville High School and the host Comets did not disappoint the large crowd on hand as they overpowered visiting Overlea, 48-13, in Baltimore County football action.
The offense was fueled by a dominant ground game led by Bobby Turner, who rushed for 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Turner has been a huge boost to the Comet offense after missing his most of his junior year with an ACL injury. Now health he has Catonsville off to a 4-1 start.
Tyler Weedon also grounded out two touchdowns and 78 yards, but his primary responsibility was paving the way for Turner, with several outstanding lead blocks.
Quarterback Aaron Jones also scored for Catonsville on a short run and backup QB Jay Sterner toss touchdown pass to Troy Redd.
Overlea fell to 0-6 on the season.
