Sparrows Point’s Lynch and Mercy’s Tempert will participate in girl’s game in December


Four Baltimore area soccer players, two boys and two girls, have been selected to play in the 2018 High School All-American Games, to be played Dec. 1 in Orlando, Florida.

Anthony Dragisics of Archbishop Curley and Andrew Privett of McDonogh have both been named to the 19-man boys’ East All-American Team.

Dragiscis and Privett bring the total number of Baltimore area stars that have participated in the boys’ contest to 12 since its inception in 2011. The others are:

Tyler Gabarra - Broadneck High (2014)
Eremuse Momoh - McDonogh School (2014)
Connor Smith - McDonogh School (2014)

Michael DeShields - McDonogh (2015)
Michael Heitzmann - River Hill High (2015)
Colin Weyant - Perry Hall (2015)

On the girls’ side Julie Lynch of Sparrows Point, the two-time VSN Player of the Year, and Ada Clare Tempert of Mercy have been selected to play on the East Team.

The pair joins Casey Martinez of McDonogh (2013) and Erica Carpenter of Notre Dame Prep (2016) in representing Maryland in the girls’ game.
