Bluebirds outshoot Chesapeake, 17-1, in season opener


The Kenwood High boys soccer team kicked off its 2021 season in impressive fashion, Thursday, out-shooting visiting Chesapeake-Baltimore County, 17-1, in a 5-1 win in Essex.
Five different Bluebirds scored in the win, including Paul Catalfamo and Braylon Guido, who each added an assist for two-point performances.
David Nwachukwu, Eseosa Ogbeide and Ray Esparza also dented the nets for Kenwood, while Israel Affalabi added an assist. In goal, Brayden Jones made 7 saves.
Andrew Fiorilo netted a first half goal to help the Bayhawks avoid the shutout.
