Delonte Joyce (pictured left) scored a season-high 32 points as No. 16 Annapolis High handed Gilman School an 86-45 pounding in the state capital Monday evening in non-league action. Joyce dropped three-pointer as the Panthers (4-1 overall) opened with a 30-12 first quarter advantage.
Domico James added 18 points for Annapolis, and Brent Reid had a team-high seven rebounds to go with nine points. Cyrus Jones led Gilman (5-7) with 13 points, and Darius Jennings finished with 10.
The Panthers host another MIAA B Conference team, Anne Arundel County neighbor Severn School, Wednesday before hosting its annual Cap City Classic tournament next week. Gilman returns home to play Loyola Blakefield in a MIAA non-conference tilt Wednesday evening.
