ESPN reported tonight that Calvert Hall senior defensive back Adrian Amos has accepted a scholarship offer to play football at the University of Connecticut.

Rated a three-star athlete by several recruiting services, the 6-foot, 190 pound Amos also held offers from Big East rival West Virginia and Temple.

Amos had an interception in the Cardinals’ 24-7 victory over St. John’s (D.C.) last weekend.

On Saturday, No. 3 Calvert Hall will square off with No. 10 Archbishop Spalding at 1:30 p.m. at Towson University as apart of the I-95 Kickoff Challenge.

Amos has a reputation for being “an explosive, scheme versatile defensive back.”
