No. 19 Mustangs edge No. 16 Fallston on the road


In a battle of Top 20 field hockey squads, both hailing from the UCBAC’s Chesapeake Division, No. 19 C. Milton Wright edged No. 16 Fallston, 1-0, Monday in Fallston, to take a major step toward winning the Chesapeake Division.

With this win we move the Mustangs improved 7-2 overall and 5-0 in the league. They can clinch the Chesapeake Division title with a win at North Harford on Wednesday.

“This game was a defensive battle for our girls,” said C. Milton Wright coach Kelsey Lovelace. “Fallston is a very talented team with quick players. Our defense unit of Carys May, Riley Cushman, Sara Durborow and goalie Phoebe Hennessy held down the fort tonight. My girls continue to impress me each and everyday with how well they preform as a unit.”

Fallston fell to 6-3 overall and 2-2 in the league.
