State final-bound Hereford up to No. 3; Dulaney returns

Baltimore County squads Dulaney High and Hereford highlight the next-to-last VSN Girls Lacrosse Top 20.

The Lions return at 18th after reaching their third Class 4A state final in four seasons. The Timonium school takes on No. 2 Severna Park, Wednesday evening at Paint Branch in Montgomery County.

After ending then-No. 2 Glenelg’s state title run at three with a 9-8 victory in a 2A semifinal Saturday, Hereford climbs from No. 10 to 3rd. The undefeated Bulls play No. 13 South Carroll for the 2A crown Tuesday at Paint Branch.

McDonogh is No. 1 followed by Severna Park, Hereford, Glenelg and Marriotts Ridge. The final poll of the 2019 season will be released early next week.
