Gettysburg junior Sarah Cole, a field hockey player from Bryn Mawr, was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week earlier this week, after a big game in a 3-0 victory over Johns Hopkins University.

Cole was instrumental in all three goals, scoring twice and assisting on another as the Bullets defeated Hopkins for the first time since 2005, ending a six-game losing streak.

In five games thus far in 2010, Cole has scored five times and added two assists, giving her the team lead in goals, assists and points.

As a sophomore in 2009, Cole worked her played in 15 games, finishing with six points, including two goals.  She also scored twice as a freshman.

At Bryn Mawr, Cole was a three-sport athlete, playing field hockey, basketball and lacrosse for the Mawrtians, earning All-IAAM, All-County and All-State honors in field hockey.
