Bryn Mawr got off to a slow start on Spirt and Senior Day at the Roland Park school, but the Mawrtians ralled for a 28-26, 25-3, 25-18 non-conference volleyball victory over Franklin.
BMS trailed most of set one, finally catching Franklin and tying the game at 22-22 before winning 28-26.
Set two saw Bryn Mawr score the first nine points on the serving of junior Bryn Dunbar, as the Mawrtians extended the lead to 15-2 behind five service winners by captain Rachael Franks. The game ended on nine straight service points by junior Jaime O’Donnell. Franks had five kills and junior Susannah Matthai had four kills in set two.
In the final set, junior Anna Feiss helped Bryn Mawr complete the three game sweep on 7-of-8 serving with three aces and a kill.
Franks finished with eight kills and won 9-of-11 serves with three aces and six digs and Matthai had 10 kills, four service winners and two aces.
