The Bryn Mawr tennis team won all but one set in a 5-0 sweep of Archbishop Spalding, on Monday, in an impressive showing by the Mawrtians.
Gina Hong of Bryn Mawr took the No. 1 singles match, 6-0, 6-1, over Gianna Ellis and Lucy Burchell, at No. 2 singles, downed Delena Ganey, 6-1, 6-2.
Spalding’s Katelyn Powers and Bridget Ratcliff won the first set of their No. 1 doubles match, but Aleeza Hashmi and Ellie MacLaughlin stormed back for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 victory.
Anna Hashmi and Ali McShane of Bryn Mawr were flawless in a 6-0, 6-0 win over Gabrielle Seddon and Jodi Manganelli in No. 2 doubles, and the Mawrtians’ Eliza Montague and Emma Afrookah downed Kaleigh Prendergast and Katie Ghiardi, 7-5, 6-3, in No. 3 doubles.
