It was a big afternoon for Calvert Hall’s Ryan Brown as he netted five goals and added two assists to lead the Cardinals to a 19-7 win over Canada’s Hill Academy in Calvert Hall’s home lacrosse opener.

Nine different players scored at least one goal for the Cardinals (2-0).  John Kelly had four points with three goals and an assist, while Patrick Kelly and Carter Brown each netted two goals and handed out one assist, while Kelton Black scored one goal and had two assist.

Garrett Novotny put two goals in the books, while Stephen Kelly, Patrick Caratenuto, Brett Pearce and Tom Bennett each scored one goal. Topping off the scoring was Matt Diehl with two assists.

Stephen Kelly also had another monster day in the face-off X, winning 21-of-23 draws.
