Regulation time was not long enough to settle the score between the Bel Air Bobcats and Patterson Mill Huskies, Thursday night, as the two teams took to overtime in their girls’ lacrosse battle.

Bel Air got the better of the Huskies in the final period, netting two goals for the 13-11 win, just shortly after outscoring their foes in the second half, 3-2, to tie the game at 11.

Hayley Krause led the Bel Air scoring, netting five goals alongside the two-goal day of Brooke Lorber, Jordan Hammond and Taylor Klunk, and the single scores of Cassidy Jones and Kathry Merrick.

Patterson Mi worked a small lead in the first half, 9-8, much to the help of a four-goal performance from Taylor Burris, and three-goal days from Emily Keesling, Brittany Cudmore and Allie Poust, while Sam Boyce and Gabby Vujanic each added two scores.

Be Air goalie Lucy Laughlin amounted 16 saves in the net for the Bobcats, while Heather Dove made one save in each half for the Huskies.

Bel Air will hope to ride the success of its recent win into a match-up with C. Milton Wright, Tuesday, while Patterson Mill looks to rebound against Aberdeen.
