Striking-out 10 batters and allowing just four hits, Bel Air starter Tyler Riedel threw seven innings in helping the Bobcats claim victory over the Fallston Cougars, Monday, 5-2.
After allowing two runs in the first inning, Riedel retuned to the mound in the second and pitched six scoreless innings, making his way through the Cougar lineup with the offensive help from Sweitzer, Stout, Foss and Wallale to earn the three-run win.
Stout, Foss, and Wallale each had two hits, while Wallale had two runs batted in next to a two-RBI double from Sweitzer.
John Hetterman pitched five innings in his first loss of 2011, seeing five unearned runs cross the plate with the help of Fallston errors.
Scoring the Fallston offense, Josh Walker hit a two-run single in the first inning to give the Cougars their only lead of the game, 2-0.
