Bobcats record their second straight shutout
After enduring a three-game losing streak that saw it fall out of the VSN Boys Soccer Top 20 rankings, Bel Air picked up its second consecutive shutout victory, Thursday, with a 1-0 upset of No. 9 C. Milton Wright, the Bobcats top rival in the UCBAC Chesapeake Division.
With Ben Cook working on his second consecutive shutout, with five saves, Bel Air got a second half score from George Beeker to pick up the big road victory.
The contest was the league opener for both schools as Bel Air evened its overall record at 3-3, while C. Milton Wright fell to 2-3-1. Next for Bel Air is a home match against North Harford, next Tuesday. The Mustangs, who have now dropped two straight, will also play on Tuesday as they look to rebound at Aberdeen.
