Milford Mill and Digital Harbor getting ready for 2018-19 hoops season

With the start of the public high school basketball season days away, Digital Harbor High and Milford Mill Academy boys squads met in a scrimmage Wednesday evening in Baltimore County.

The Rams have a new coach in Davon Usher, who was a first-team All-Met selection for the Rams in 2010. Usher starred at the University of Delaware, leading the Hens to their first NCAA Tourney appearance in 14 seasons in 2014.

Digital Harbor reached the Baltimore City Division II finals last season.

Milford Mill Academy was arguably Baltimore County’s best team last winter, falling to Poly in the Class 3A state championship. The Millers have back post Darius Woods (senior) and junior guard Jermaine Goodwyn.

Milford Mill opens the season Wednesday at Loch Raven, while Digital Harbor hosts defending Baltimore City Division I and 3A state champ Poly.
