Outlook: The winner of this match will gain the upper hand in the MIAA C Conference title race. Defending champ Annapolis Area Christian extend the area’s longest winning streak to 13 last week, thanks to Tony Paige and James Anderson.

Trailing 21-7 in the fourth quarter, Annapolis Area received a touchdown run from Anderson, who later caught a 19-yard pass from Paige. Paige returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown, sending the Eagles to a 28-21 victory. Chris Chick threw for 182 yards for Annapolis Area.

The Saints had an easier time last week with a 32-8 decision over Friends School. John Nunes rushed for 127 yards, and added a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Aaron Ames threw two scoring passes to Dan Weinel.

Annapolis Area Christian beat Lutheran, 27-0 and 28-13, to claim its first football title in only its third season. The Eagles won three of four against Lutheran over the past two seasons.
