To say this weekend’s wrestling schedule is busy would be an understatement, as teams from all over the coverage area are scattering throughout the state and into other territories to compete at the next level.
WAR ON THE SHORE:
Most prominently, a number of teams are taking down to the annual War on the Shore tournament, hosted by Stephen Decatur.
In the tournament is the No. 1 Spalding Cavaliers, coming off a big Ray Oliver season opening win, along with top area competition in Mount St. Joe, Archbishop Curley, Old Mill, Rising Sun, Centennial and others.
Top seeds were announced earlier this week and are posted below.
KEASER CLASSIC DUALS
Staying a bit closer to home, many area teams will be competing in the Keaser Classic Duals at North County, hosted this Friday and Saturday.
With a solid mix of 3A/4A, 1A/2A and private school Bishop McNamara, the dual meet tournament is sure to create some excitement in the wrestling community.
Top County teams in Eleanor Roosevelt (Prince George’s), Winters Mill (Carroll) and county runner-ups North County (Anne Arundel) Leonardtown (SMAC) and Harford Tech (UCBAC) will be battling teams from all over the state in the anticipated duals tournament.

TUSCARORA TITAN THUNDER TOURNAMENT
Heading out west, Catonsville and Reservoir will participate in the Turscarora Titian Thunder Tournament, a tough tournament with a mix of Western Maryland, private and Baltimore-area squads in the 17 man tournament.

ABERDEEN DUALS
A group of UCBAC teams has decided to stick around for the Aberdeen Duals this weekend, as reigning conference champion Bel Air satys to do battle with Aberdeen, Fallston, Elkton and other is the weekend tournament.
SCORPION DUALS
Also stating local is Franklin, Dulaney and Western Tech, all wrestling in the Oakland Mills hosted Scorpion Duals.
WALSH JESUIT / MULE CLASSIC
Out of the MIAA, both McDonogh and John Carroll are heading out of state to test their wrestling capabilities. McDonogh heads out to Ohio for the Walsh Jesuit Tournament, while John Carroll heads up to Pennsylvania to participate in the Mule Classic.
QUAKER DUALS
Fellow MIAA squads Gilman, Baltimore Lutheran and Friends will all be at the Quaker Classic Duals this weekend.
KNIGHTMARE CLASSIC
Parkville will be host to a slew of Baltimore-area teams this weekend, hosting the Knightmare Classic Tournament.
Baltimore City, County, private and UCBAC teams will fight in the 20-team individual tournament, looking to boost records and take top tournament hardware.
