For the second time this season, Severn held a lacrosse opponent scoreless in the second half to pull out a victory, as the Admirals topped visiting Friends, 8-4, in a non-conference MIAA contest.
After a scoreless first quarter, both teams scored four times in the second quarter to go to the half in a 4-4 tie. Severn, however, held Friends scoreless in the second half and took control with three goals in the third quarter and a single tally in the fourth.
Cole Bailey had a big day for head coach Brian Wood, scoring three goals and dishing out an assist. Brett Beddard scored twice and Nate Babcock had a goal and an assist. The other two Severn goals were netted by Nick Manis and Tony Olmert.
All four Friends goals were unassisted with one each coming from Dan Warren, Jon Schmidt, Jack Gibb and Michael Sweet.
